The truth about prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h)

"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level.”
Michael Hart , author of ‘The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History’

Ethiopia is often mentioned as a typical example of tolerance and coexistence. As a multi-ethnic , muti-culture, multi-religion and multi-lingual nations ordinary people managed to coexist peacefully in a very unique way. However, recently some unfortunate incidents has been reported which alarmed all the peace loving concerned Ethiopians.

Among them are the usage of the holy Quran as a toilet paper, the Jimma incident of the 2006. Reported attacks and hostilities toward worship sites, hate preachers . Above all the revival of baseless slogans of old monarchies of Ethiopia being an Island of Christians-is the main concern. The then leaders used such slogans to deprive fundamental rights of others and oppress them by stereotyping them as secondary citizens withe secondary right. It is unfortunate and very hurting to the people who had suffered under such monarchies to see these slogans not only being advertised but being defended publicly in the 21st century.

Therefore, this paltalk room has taken the initiative to open this room after it has observed politically oriented or motivated rooms using the issue for their political end. The room is to initiate candid dialogue among the people of faith-as interfaith dialogue- to discuss their concerns. The room intends to sort out facts from myths, clarify misunderstandings or misconceptions from both sides based on facts and introduce different perspectives of issues that matters-specially the ignored ones. The room believes, that dialogue can help to bring the people closer and strengthen the mutual tolerance . To do so the and for the sake of healthy discussion the room applies the following rules.

1) Insults are strictly forbidden.

2) It is forbidden to manipulate the issue for certain political objective, as the room is not political room.

2) Insulting a religion would call for prompt action.

Sometimes people may get confused of what insults is all about?

*Chritains believe Jesus (pbuh), being a lord
*Muslims, however, believe that jesus is just a might Prophet and human being as prophet Mohamed is, may peace be up on both of them.
Therefore, Muslims are expected to tolerate by the claim of the Christians fellows that Jesus (pbuh), being a Lord , and not offended saying that they degraded the Almighty Allah to human being. The same is expected from Christians by when the Muslims express their believe of Jesus (pbuh), being a prophet and a human being.

4) Though the room encourages comparative religion , however, it should be only for learning & teaching and out of love , not to humiliate each other.

6) Most of the challenges that we are facing have in one way or another some kind of historical linkage . As such the room encourages the revisiting of histories, for the sole objective of learning from the past.that is to strengthen the good sides and avoid repeating the mistakes.

7) It is forbidden to incite violence, and attack followers of any religion as a whole. Any criticism should be specific and to the target and with evidence.

8) Other than exceptional cases , th room uses Amharic as a means of communication .By doing so the room is in no way impying the supperiority of a language over the other or anykind of political message. In fact it believes all languages should have the same value, however, it does so only to make the discussion smoother.
